One Year of Wii
November 19, 2007 - To say that Wii has surprised a few people in its first year on store shelves would be an understatement. The system went from console wildcard during its initial unveilings, to become one of the biggest success stories of our industry, packing E3 booths and headlining news articles (both mainstream and industry-specific) along the way. Now 365 days after the first system was sold, Wii is still a rare find in stores, and with the recent release of Super Mario Galaxy, and the promise of Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii, andSmash Bros. Brawl coming in early 2008, there looks to be no end in sight for Wii mania.
In celebration of the system’s first birthday, we’ve compiled a tribute to Wii, highlighting the top games of the last year, biggest video features, and best moments of Nintendo’s innovative console.

Only time will tell, but there’s certainly no denying that Wii has been the talk of the industry for 365 straight days, and it doesn’t seem to be letting up any time soon.
